Capture the Heart & Soul of Your Pal in Graphite

How the Portrait Process Works:

Give me a call and we can discuss your goals and schedule so all will go smoothly - especially if you have a tight schedule.
This is what I'll need from you:

1. Send two Good photos:
A- One that captures your favorite expression of your animal, from the angle that you’d like the portrait drawn. (For example, your pet cocking his head or raising an ear in a certain way.) A close up photo is preferred, unless you want the whole pet.
B- A photo that helps me see your pet’s eyes clearly. (This will help you to feel you can look into your dog’s eyes once the portrait is complete).

2. Tell me a little about your dog’s personality or life so I can know more about your dog .

3. Include a deposit of $150

Note: When I take photos I use a digital camera and take a lot so that I have a better chance of capturing one of those 'personality moments.' If you live in the Puget Sound Region, I can take your pet's photo for you.

Once I have your materials, I'll begin the initial drawing. When the basic structure is finished, l'll send a photo as a way of checking in. This is a chance for us to touch base and be sure the final drawing will satisfy you. Changes can be made at this point. Once the piece is finished, I will send another photo to be sure you are satisfied. Then the work can be shipped COD for the balance, or you can send a check (or use Pay Pal) and I will ship the work to you.

We Benefit Animal Rescue

This drawing will speak to your soul.

"Barbara’s great love for animals comes through in every portrait she creates. She connects with each animal and brings out their special qualities in her skillful renderings." --Kathleen Mitchell, Port Townsend, WA

"When I first layed eyes on the portrait that Barbara had done of my beloved dog, Red, I was sitting next to my son. We were both completely taken aback by the ability of Barbara to capture our newly deceased dog's true spirit. We immediately began to weep at the beauty of his personality that she was able to capture in a simple pencil portrait. Barbara Ferrier has
found her true calling as an artist. She has a gift of bringing the character of each dog that she draws to life. Keep up the good work!" --
Kristen Klein, Seattle, WA

"Barbara's drawings go way beyond photos and really bring the subject to life." Stuart
